    bgb turn away at least 260 refugees fleeing myanmar army crackdownhundreds of rohingyas are trying to cross the border into bangladesh amid escalating violense . (file photo) the border guards bangladesh (bgb) has sent back 13 boats carrying rohingyas, who were trying to cross in from myanmar through the naf river in cox's bazar. lieutenant colonel abu jar ali jahid, commanding officer of bgb-2 battalion, said between 8:00pm on sunday and 6:00am on sunday the bgb team pushed the rohingya nationals back while they were crossing the river from damdamia and alikhali points. on each boat, there were at least 20 people, including women and children, sources said. the myanmar army started a massive crackdown against the rohingyas in rakhine state after nine police officers were kiled in three police outposts along the myanmar-bangladesh border on oct 9. hundreds of rohingyas are trying to cross the border into bangladesh amid escalating violense . but the myanmar government denies that rohingya are fleeing due to its brutal crackdown.
