    freedom fighter’s injured son dies at dmchinjured victim of kushtia attack, son of a freedom fighter, has died at dhaka medical college hospital (dmch) on friday. the deceased was identified as aynul islam, 32, son of freedom fighter nazrul islam of shahpur village in mirpur upazila in kushtia district. aynul was attacked allegedly by a local union parishad member in mirpur upazila on may 24 and has been undergoing treatment at dhaka medical college hospital. victim’s father nazrul islam told that aynul succumbed to his injuries in the morning. nazrul alleged that aynul had an altercation with amla union parishad member hasmat ali on november 24 over the possession of some trees that were planted on a government land in the village. at one stage, hasmat and his 8-10 followers beat up aynul with hammers indiscriminately, leaving him injured, he added. aynul was first taken to mirpur health complex and then shifted to the dmch as his condition deteriorated.
